Job Summary:

Act as the team leader for the supervision and direction of individual contributors within operational area. This position has the responsibility and authority for supporting the Value Stream Manager and/or Supervisor in meeting assigned area goals and metrics.

Essential Job Functions

· Lead assigned team in the Production Fulfillment Process including resolving and/or escalating issues as they arise

· Complete Safety Incident reports for any injuries/near misses that occur on the shift and upwardly report as appropriate

• Establish work order priorities and/or shipping details with operational leaders
• Monitor and review functional or operational area metrics against desired performance and provide input to the Value Stream manager
• Conduct daily line level meetings to assign work order/jobs in order to satisfy operational/functional metrics and goals
• Utilize various reports to monitor the progress of work orders / shipping deadlines to ensure on-time delivery
• Ensure manufacturing procedures and quality standards are followed; including in-process inspections
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Engineering, Material Handlers, Buyers, and other Support Personnel to resolve production or shipping issues
• Assist in providing feedback regarding applicants, from the interview process and make recommendations to the Value Stream Manager, as appropriate
• Assist in providing performance management / disciplinary needs to Value Stream manager
• Assist in verifying accuracy and completeness with required paperwork or reports for production and shipping
• Operate various machines, as needed
• Perform multiple adjustments to tooling, speeds/feeds, edit programs and set up machine parameters to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Manufacture complex parts according to customer orders per instructions written on Work Orders and blue prints
• Perform manual fabrication operations as required
• Complete work order paperwork
• Perform in-process inspection according to standard procedures
• Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required
• Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication
• Participate in cross training to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the facility
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
