THE GUND COMPANY'S LINE OF PRESSBOARD PRODUCTS, G-BOARD™, INCLUDES CELLULOSE-BASED PRESSBOARD FOR STANDARD APPLICATIONS AND ARAMID-BASED PRESSBOARD FOR HIGH-TEMPERATURE APPLICATIONS.

G-Board, used for electromechanical insulation in transformer applications, is manufactured using pure cellulose long fibers, free of impurities. This produces a pressboard that meets and exceeds the IEC 60641-3-1 standard.

  • High Chemical Purity: Cellulose-based pressboard has high chemical purity, which makes it an ideal insulation material for power transformers.
  • Mechanical Strength: Cellulose-based pressboard has excellent mechanical strength, which helps maintain the shape and dimensions of the transformer’s oil ducts when they are electrically stressed.
  • Optimal Oil Impregnability: Cellulose-based pressboard can be impregnated with oil, which improves its insulation properties many times over.
  • Easy to Mold: cellulose-based pressboard is easy to mold and wrap around coils, and can be made of various dimensions as per requirements.
