Custom Nylon Machined Parts
NYLON MACHINED PARTS
Meets ASTM D 4066, L-P-410(a)
Nylon is a synthetic polymer family that is more commonly referred to as polyamides. Nylon has great abrasion resistance, good wear, and a low coefficient of friction. It is USDA approved, FDA compliant and is most often selected for its ease of fabrication.
Nylon is frequently used to replace metal bearings and bushings, often eliminating the need for external lubrication. Other benefits include a reduction in part weight, less operating noise, and decreased wear on mating parts.
CNC Nylon machining to close tolerances is easily achieved with The Gund Company. We stock Nylon tubes, rods, and sheets and have the machining capabilities to fabricate nylon parts to extreme tolerances.
